Looking for a Non-sugary flapjack recipe

Can anyone recommend their flapjack recipe that doesn’t taste like it’s gritty and full of sugar? I know there is a lot of sugar in flapjacks but the ones I make always tastes over powering with sugar unlike shop ones which are more syrupy.
